Matthew 11:28-30 28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

As disciples, this is a common scripture... One that's been shared with us, or by us, countless times. We know of God & His Power & Love, and it offers peace and strength. We may serve our wives and children, we certainly serve our church, family group and brothers & sisters... We "do" because we must. If any of the people described above were struggling, we would be there to encourage & lift them up, help them to draw closer to God, because He is the true medicine for a beaten heart.

And yet, when I'm beat, I find it hard to "do" because my tank has gone empty. When i've reached bottom, and I'm finding it hard to not freak or lash out, you want me to "do more"? I've served, even when you were down, and now that I need help, you want me to "do more"? When im at my lowest, you want me to "come to [You]"?

The answer, surprisingly enough, is "yep". It's not what I want to hear or do. But how many examples are in the Bible, that speak on "selflessness"? How many times have we done what the Bible asks of us to do, and things just work out? How many times has God lied to you? We struggle in taking that leap of faith because when we're at our lowest, it's easier to think about ourselves. We lose focus on what God has done, and continues to do for us.
