Your Worth Is Immeasurable 2016.12.04

Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
and because I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you,
nations in exchange for your life.

Isaiah 43:4

The Bible clearly demonstrates His love for us. Imagine anything on this planet what we value... and it's incomparable to how God feels about us. And yet, I often find myself talking with people (member of my church, friends, strangers some times...) who have a difficult time believing that God find them precious.

A diamond is one of the most precious items in creation. They are rare, beautiful & highly prized. And yet, they are nothing to how God feels about us. And yet why does God think that we are more precious than diamonds when we trip, fall & fail more often than we care to admit?

Maybe the people who struggle with believing their value in God's eyes have something - It's easy to draw a conclusion without any facts to back it up. If I simply said "you are precious in God's eyes and He loves you", and that was all that was needed, you could walk away feeling better about yourself without having any foundation on which to base these good feelings. But how long would that last? Not too long, i'm afraid.

Whats funny is that, if you had the most sought after diamond in the world, say "The Cullinan", it's estimated to cost over 400 million dollars. 3,106.75 carats. (there are two more diamonds with higher value - they are listed as "priceless"). Put tha tbad boy on a ring and I doubt that the person you asked to marry you, would say no! And yet, God sees no value in that stone or any other diamond. He's made many diamonds, but only one of you. Each diamond is rated on it's level of uniqueness, and yet you are more unique than all of the diamonds combined. You are unlike anyone who has ever lived, or will ever live. He made you because He wants someone exactly like you. He has plans for you.

How often do all of us feel beaten down, even worthless (or less worthy of our true value)? Maybe we can't get life. These moments, we need to remember Isaiah 43:4. You are precious in His eyes and he loves you! He has never said that He loved a diamond, but He does say that He loves you.

Still not convinced?

Let's talk about Jesus then. He left his rightful place in heaven, put up with & taught us, was ridiculed, and then murdered by the people who days before loved Him. He died so we wouldn't have to die because of the many ways we've messed up because of our sin.

We are worth a Son to God. (re-read that as many times as you need to)

When you struggle with your own worth, listen to God's own words, "You are important enough to Me to justify the death of My Son. I want to have a close & intimate relationship with you that much."

He loves us more than we can even begin to imagine.

Don't let the devil minimize this truth for one nanosecond. Thank God for his never-ending love and pray to Him to help write that upon your heart. You are lovable & loved. And no matter what you do, He will never stop loving you. Start taking chances in living your days where you will start to live your life believing that. His love is truly bigger than all of our mistakes.
